"90 Meters" chosen as opening film for GSH 2026.

Global Stage Hollywood is honored to announce our opening film for 2026, 90 Meters (90 メートル）, directed by Shun Nakagawa. Stars Miho Kanno and Nanase Nishino will attend for a live Q&A following the screening. "This film shows the complicated but loving relationship between a mother and son under incredibly trying circumstances. Outstanding performances all around" says festival director Yumi Montgomery.

The story of a young high school and young caregiver who alone takes care of his mother with an incurable disease. An alarm sensor is used by the mother to notify "help" to her son in the next room. The true significance of the title 90 Meters becomes clear as the story unfolds, revealing a deeper meaning that audiences will discover through the film.
