AYUMI is a film written and directed by Kazuhiro Teranishi, based on interviews he conducted with a real-life physician. The story follows a doctor who works closely with women struggling with issues such as eating disorders and an obsession with cosmetic surgery. Blending drama with elements inspired by real interviews and experiences, AYUMI portrays people confronting their pain and inner conflicts, searching for ways to accept themselves and move forward with their lives.
